I am a marine ecologist as well as an artist, and love to draw other artists and researchers at work to show conservation in action. 

My artistic practice is based on observational drawing, and I always have a sketchbook in my pocket, ready to capture wildlife!

I spent a month in Venice in May 2025 as a Fellow with the British Council, drawing my experience of working at the Biennale. 

Whenever I travel in the UK, I visit National Trust properties.  I love to draw people enjoying and learning about our historical landmarks. 

I love the sea, and am usually in or near it.  An ongoing project, 'At the beach' is a collection of drawings of people enjoying the seaside.

I love drawing new people in new places, and find that when I'm drawing I notice more.  It's also a great way to start a conversation!
